Branko, born João Barbosa, is a leading figure in Global Club Music and a pioneer of Portugal’s electronic scene. As founder of the label Enchufada and co-founder of Buraka Som Sistema, he’s known for blending global sounds with urban rhythms. His 2015 debut album Atlas launched an international tour, followed by Nosso (2019), featuring Dino D’Santiago, Mallu Magalhães, and Pierre Kwenders. Branko has performed at major festivals like NOS Primavera Sound and Super Bock Super Rock, as well as iconic venues across Portugal. In 2022, he cemented his live show’s success with performances at Boiler Room, NOS Alive, and the release of his acclaimed album OBG.
